Daily Pages · Last updated: October 5, 2026

Local diary storage

Daily Pages stores your diary entries and settings locally on your device. Photos you select for diary entries are copied into the app's private local storage. Daily Pages does not require an account and does not upload your diary entries to our servers. Your operating system may back up app data according to your device settings.

Search and PDF export

Diary search and PDF generation are performed locally on your device. PDF export may download a font from Google's font service if it is not cached. Diary text and photos are not included in that font request.

Backups and sharing

Backup files are created locally. Daily Pages only exports PDFs and backups when you choose to save, share, or move them to another destination, such as another app, cloud storage, or another device. That destination handles the exported copy under its own privacy practices. App Lock credentials are excluded from backups created by Daily Pages.

Accounts, advertising, and tracking

Daily Pages v1.0 does not require an account, contain advertising, or include analytics or tracking. Daily Pages does not sell personal data.

App Lock and biometrics

App Lock credentials are protected locally using salted password-derived verification data. Your plaintext PIN or password is not stored. Biometric authentication is handled by your operating system; Daily Pages does not receive or store fingerprint or face biometric data. App Lock controls access to the app and does not encrypt exported PDFs or backup files.

Permissions

Photo, file, and biometric access is used only when needed for the corresponding feature you request, such as adding a photo, saving or restoring a file, or unlocking the app. Access is handled through the relevant operating-system permission or picker.
